Hello Deer

This is not one of Santa's reindeer, but a local buck visiting Gene's corn feeder. He has a digital wildlife camera mounted on a tree, near the feeder, with a motion detector on it. So we get photos of not only deer, but raccoons, squirells, possums, turkeys, and Big Foot. This deer is not in our freezer, but a friend of his is. Yummm. Yesterday's weather was nice, so Gene took down his blind and the camera for the season. He'll continue to put corn in the feeder, especially when the weather gets frigid and it gets harder for the critters to find food, or until he uses up all his allowance on corn, whichever comes first.
Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, our's was quiet. For New Year's Eve, my garage band "Sonic Wood" will be playing at Brick's. I'm going to need a powerful nap in the afternoon in order to stay up and alert, that late. And it will take me all of the first, just to recover from the late night. Rock and roll is hard in your 50's.
Take care, much love to all.

HAY!

That's Lawrence on the left, and Boaz on the right saying "hay" to y'all. We had 4" of snow on Tuesday, and freezing rain forecast for tonight. Oh goody. It's nice knowing that new generator is in the garage, just in case...

Our holiday plans are to be home for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (church on the eve), and then attend a Nelson family luncheon on Jan. 3 at Andy and Kristin's house with all of Gene's kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, etc. etc. Jenna arrives from the Netherlands this Sunday. Pretty low key.

Hope everyone is well, and wishing you a blessed Christmas season!
